I've been pondering this topic for a while and finally typed out my ideas in a somewhat coherent essay.
( Recently I needed to bring my car back to the dealership to be worked on due to a problem with the brakes. )

Yuletide letter placeholder
Oct. 6th, 2017 07:52 pmI am a terrible person for not getting this out sooner. Please accept my sincere apologies for how long it took me to fill this in, and I completely realize that any and all comments I make here are way outside of the limits of being followed, so do as you wish.
As you could tell from my sign up, I'm a bit shy with very graphic material. I would prefer no underage sex in any of the fandoms, please.
I would also be equally thrilled to receive a fic in any of the fandoms I requested. I love all of them
Gunsmoke - I adore Kitty Russell. In an era when women characters, particularly in Westerns, were either evil or helpless, Kitty was rocking being independent, three-dimensional, complicated, and a force to be reckoned with, not to mention one heck of a cheat at cards when she needed to be. Anything about her would be welcome.
The Giver series - I read this recently and was very confused yet intrigued by Asher. From his strange situation in kindergarten where he can't pronounce smack versus snack to his constant humor, which is almost always a coping mechanism for people, I kept wondering what was up with him. If you want to go into the past to look at who he was, tell the story from his view, or look at what happens after Jonas shakes everything up in the future, anything, I'm good.
Gone with the Wind - I certainly don't expect both Belle and Careen in one fic (I don't even see how that's possible), but I liked both of these characters. Poor Belle is obviously in love with Rhett as a brick wall would be able to see, so of course he doesn't. But I'm intrigued about that boy of hers back East as well. I've always wondered if he might be Rhett's son, or someone else we know. Likewise, her relationship with Melanie is intriguing, and I'd like to know what she felt at her death. Carreen, on the other hand, was more developed in the book than the movie, falling so madly in love with Brent Tarleton and then choosing a convent as opposed to just sort of disappearing in the movie. Scarlett never really "got" her, and I'd be curious how much Carreen might have understood either of her sisters.
The Muppet Show - I picked Kermit, but you'd be hard pressed to pick a member of the gang I wouldn't love. Comedy, slap-stick, yet another version of an origin story, a day in the life, heck, have a Skeksis kidnap Piggy while Jareth blows crystal bubbles in Kermit's direction, whatever, I'm down for it.
The Godfather - No one really seems to notice Carmela much. She's the traditional Italian matriarch: minds her own business, keeps her mouth shut, cooks well, and commands the respect of her sons. That said, this was a pretty darn smart woman. I'd love to know just how much she knew or didn't.
A Little Romance - Oh, Daniel and Lauren. I always found this movie both unutterably sweet and bittersweet at the same time. Do they ever meet again? Exchange letters? Move on? I'm not sure where this one would go.
Already, thank you in advance, and please don't feel constrained by any suggestions at all. I'm sure I'll love anything you write. :)
