Wow, you certainly put some work into this! I found all of it fascinating, but was especially taken by the idea that fanfic Riley is usually written as slash or villain. Maybe that's because his character seemed to be a different person at different times? I write my Riley as "normal", but to me that does *not* include the vampire-sucked, falling apart Riley from near the end. My feeling has always been that he was thrown into that situation just to have an excuse to get rid of him quickly, once it became clear that he was unpopular and really had no future on the show. In the end there doesn't seem to be a totally canon way to write him.
That's unlike Andrew, who to me is a well developed character -- I've known people exactly like him, and I go out of my way to avoid them. In other words, his problem isn't that his one-note geekism and self denial isn't realistic; it's that he's too much like some real people.
As for Kennedy, I believe of the three of them she might be the best character, full of flaws and good for plenty of conflict. Too bad it's so screamingly obvious that she's all wrong for Willow; maybe she should have gone after Faith, instead. There's a clash of wills for you!
Well done
