I've been wandering through the regular and Madness collection a bit, and here are a few recs:

Self and Honor - Joyeusenoel - Antigone - I specifically requested a fic about Antigone's sister, Ismene, and my Yuletide Santa more than fit the bill here, creating two missing scenes from Sophocles's play in script format. This is simply wonderful, and the tone matches the original just beautifully. Thank you again!

Fifty-Five Hundred Years - Yellow - A Passage to India - This picks up a long time after the events of the novel, with Aziz and Fielding writing occasional letters to each other. It's the missing bit the reader wants, and a good read.

Under a Broken Sky - Littleyappydog - Aladdin - Aladdin is being educated to become the sultan's consort, but Genie has a good deal more to teach him. This goes off the "10,000 years" fan theory and develops it rather heartbreakingly.

The First Lady - Vivaforever597 - Aladdin - This focuses on Jasmine's transition to power after her father's retirement, and more specifically, the demands it places on her because of her experiences with the uneven treatment of people. I like how Jasmine is characterized here.

The Widow Maker - Arithanas - The Addams Family - Just a good slice of life with Moriticia and Gomez being their wonderfully weird selves and good parents into the bargain.

Chasing after Gold - Kalypsobean - The Arrival - I absolutely love Shaun Tan's wordless graphic novel this is based on, and I was puzzled how it might translate to fic, but the author did a great job in capturing the feel of the main character here, both his hope and his loneliness.

Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming - Delen - Alice in Wonderland/Labyrinth - This crossover works so well that I'm now questioning why I've never seen it before. Jareth, Sarah, Alice, and the Red Queen all play together here, with a cameo by the White Rabbit, natch. A wonderful slice of both worlds that anyone who loves either, letalone both, should read.

The Yellow Wallpaper (The Spinning Jennie Remix) - Lunabee34 (Lorraine) - The Yellow Wallpaper - I dearly love the original, and this particular take on it, turning it into a ghost story of sorts, is a great variation that certainly will tingle your spine
