At Dawn - Rebel without a Cause - PG - This was my assignment for 2007's Yuletide. I've always loved this move (see icon). The sun rose that morning, and the world went on. But for Jim, the world ended at dawn.
Draco Character Meme: Before Year 1 - Harry Potter - Answers to a set of typical character questions from an 11 year old Draco's perspective. I want to do one of these for each yeat as I continue Shadowed Lives (which I've neglected a bit of late, but I did write another three pages of it last week)
Goddess Girl Talk - Greek mythology - This was a 2007 Yuletide ficlet. Artemis and Athena hang out for a bit and have a little girl talk.
What Dreams May Come - Commericals, specifically for Rozerem, the sleep medication - another Yuletide ficlet, and I have to admit, a trippy one what with Abe Lincoln and a talking beaver. The dangers of not dreaming are a lot more serious than you might think. So quit being a realist!
Morning Catastrophe - Bones - as you can tell, I went a little hogwild on Yuletide ficlets. Even squints need a little help getting their brains kicking over in the morning.
Torn Between - Arthurian legend - Yes, another Yuletide. Guinevere's maid reflects on the queen's love for Arthur and Lancelot.
Before Once Upon a Time - Chronicles of Narnia - Last Yuletide one from last year. This one deals with Jadis (aka the White Witch) and her sister on Charn. Having read the Magician's Nephew helps, but isn't really necessary. Ring the bell and bide the danger.
Come into My Parlor - Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Tara/Drusilla, pre-series. I rarely write femslash, but this one had been bouncing around my brain for a while. Before she leaves for the University of Sunnydale, Tara stops to see a fortune teller but learns more than she bargained for.

Across the Void - Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Firefly crossover - Giles/Simon for Maleslashminis. Wesley has sent Giles a most interesting set of books.
Shadowed Lives, Part 6: The World Tips on Its Axis - Harry Potter - My ongoing Draco-centric fic, with Dramione undertones at this point. Platform 9 ¾, the Hogwarts Express, and many meetings. This is the one where he finally meets Hermione.
Shadowed Lives, Part 7: Sorting Things Out - Harry Potter - Draco’s first glimpse of Hogwarts and the results of the Sorting.

An Obtuse Angel Is a Cute Angel - Angel the Series - Angel/Lindsey, Angel relates the story of how he and Lindsey wound up being, well, he and Lindsey.
Amateur Night - Angel the Seris/Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Xander/Doyle, Doyle really hadn’t wanted to stop in Oxnard, but by the time he left, he was very glad he had.
Shadowed Lives, Part 8: Promise Kept - Harry Potter - Draco writes the letter home that his mother requested. Being Draco, this is, of course, a major production.

There and Back Again: A Vampire's Holiday - Buffyverse/Lord of the Rings xover - Spike/Legolas, Spike got a lot more than he bargained for with the amulet. Possibly one of the more unusual pairings I wrote this year.

Cinder-What-the-Hell?-a - Harry Potter - This wound up being the first in a series of fics that have Hermione telling Ron and Harry Muggle fairy tales during their wanderings in book 7. This one is, obviously, that "disease-sounding" one, Cinderella.
Shadowed Lives, Part 12: Comparing Notes - Harry Potter - Draco returns from the hospital wing and discontentedly heads towards the owlery to write Hermione about the lousy first day he’s had. Things don’t go exactly as he planned, though.
Snow Wh-at-Are-You-Kidding-Me?-ite - Harry Potter - The second in the series, Hermione tells the boys the story of Snow White.
Silence Speaks Volumes - Harry Potter - My first drabble in the dramione_ldws community, which needed to include leather and a library.

Fairest of Them All - Harry Potter - Second dramione_ldws drabble, this one a Yule Ball moment dealing with the week's topic, which was lies.
Captive Audience - Harry Potter - Lily/Severus, which was an odd choice for me as I'm not always a great fan of Snape, but this fic popped into my head. Severus and Lily, after the fact, so to speak.
Sleeping Bea-You-People-Are-Mad-ty - Harry Potter - Third in the series, Hermione tells the story of a girl who took a very long nap.
Things Change - Harry Potter - the next challene at dramione_ldws was about a reunion at Hogwarts.
Let Them Eat Cake... and Then Leave - Harry Potter - Another dramione_ldws, this one had to take place during a surprise birthday party Draco throws for Hermione.

Little Red Riding Ho-w-Is-That-Possible?-od - Harry Potter - Fourth one, Hermione tells that odd story about the talking wolf, which is just silly, of course. Everyone knows animagi can't talk!
Subtlety is Relative, Knowing, and Burning Love - Harry Potter - I grouped three dramione_ldws drabbles together here, the first dealing with cliches, the second with autumn imagery (no Halloween allowed), and the third dealing with a rumor.
Death of a Drabble - Harry Potter - This is an odd little thing dealing with writing a drabble for dramione_ldws, showing the process of pairing it down to the allowed word count. This wasn't one of the ones I wound up using because I essentially edited it to death.

Unthinkable - Harry Potter - This would be the drabble I was eliminated on in dramione_ldws. The topic was horror, and to be frank, I'm not good at writing scary stuff, probably because I'm a massive chicken. That stated, this is easily one of the darker and more disturbing things I've written.
Rumple-Still-As-Crazy-As-Ever-tskin - Harry Potter - Hermione tells the story of the creepy dwarf and the girl who had a talent that doesn't exist.
The Frog Pr-In-What-What-Does-That-Make-Sense?-ce - Harry Potter - Another Hermione-tells-a-fairy-tale fic, this time the one about the strange talking frog and a princess reminiscent of Pansy.
Boats Against the Tide - Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Spike/Drusilla, Spike looks at Drusilla and sees a million things: some that he loves, some that he hates, and some that he fears.
Jack Shall Have Jill, and All Shall Go Ill - Buffyverse/Dark Knight xover - Drusilla/Joker. Seriously. Made for one another. Gotham is full of interesting people. One of them just happens to be dead.
Jack Shall Have Jill - this is the link to the mediafire file of me reading the above ficlet. I sound a bit... insane, shall we say?, but then this is first person Joker POV. Just in case anyone was curious what I sound like.
Rap-solutely-Mental!-unzel - Harry Potter - The latest of the Hermione telling stories fic, this one is based on Rapunzel. Ron remains deeply perplexed, Hermione nearly homocidal from the constant interruptions, and Harry amused.

Nada. I ended up writing 4 Yuletide fics, though, in the fandoms of Amadeus, Animaniacs, Arthurian legend, and Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, which I'll post over the next few days.
Whew! That's 42 things total including a set of haiku, a bit o'meta, and a recording (compared to last year's 30 total). Also, this is the first year that anything has beaten the Buffyverse. I still wrote 12 fics in the fandom, but I wrote over 20 in Harry Potter. That's a lotta fic!
