Dear Yuletide Author,

Hi! Please don't get stressed out at all about writing for me. I'm really looking forward to seeing whatever you want to write. Here's some extra info under the cut.
Karate Kid (1984)
-Kesuke Miyagi
I love Mr. Miyagi, but I was really curious about the glimpses we had into his life before Daniel came into it. I'd love a story about his friendship with Sato, his romance with Yukie, or how he met his (apparently unnamed, I've looked all over the place) wife. In short, I'd love to see Miyagi being himself. If a pre-movie timeline doesn't work for you, I'd love to hear whether or not he continued his relationship with Yukie after the second film (I know a lot of fans pretend 3 and 4 don't exist, and I'm fine with that or with retaining them). Basically, though, I'd be perfectly happy with any story about him during any time frame in his life. The only thing I would request is that there not be a romance between him and Daniel. I'm fine with slash, but I'd prefer it not to be underage.
Rear Window (1954)
-general
I rewatched this film recently (as you can tell, I was in a Hitchcock phase), and I couldn't wondering what the neighbors thought of that strange photographer and his socialite girlfriend, or of the Thorwalds, or one another on the whole. Miss Lonelyheart, the Songwriter, the fire escape couple, the newlyweds, Miss Torso, what the IMDB record calls Miss Hearing Aid (I didn't even catch the sculptor had a hearing aid until then), even the Thorwalds themselves. Heck, there could even be somebody else in the neighborhood we don't know about, like whoever lived under Jeff's place. Funny, thriller, angst, background, missing scene, set before, during, or after, I'm open to all of it. If you want to write something from Jeff or Lisa or even Stella, I'm completely okay with that too. Heck, if you want Anna's ghost hanging around the newly repainted apartment and giving her thoughts on the neighborhood, go for it!
North by Northwest (1959)
-Eve Kendall
-Leonard
-Phillip Vandamm
Again, these are suggestions, so go with anything that interests you, or something else entirely if you want. If you want delicious Roger to come out to play too, feel free. I will say that Leonard always struck me as being downright jealous of Eve's relationship with Vandamm, to the point where it seemed like the two men had something of a history together. How did Phillip wind up a Soviet spy? Who the heck is Leonard anyway? Why did he distrust Eve so much? Eve said she "had nothing else to do" so she fell in love that weekend. What was her real reaction when she realized what she'd stumbled into? Again, rewatching this recently, it struck me just how completely different the movie is from Eve's perspective, someone who knew she was sending Roger out to be killed even though she didn't want to. If you want to take the film or a scene from it from Eve's perspective, go for it. Heck, if you want Vandamm talking about all this to cut a deal with the CIA/FBI/whoever, that's great too.
Ladyhawke
-Father Imperius
-Phillipe Gaston
The one thing I would request here is the same thing from the first request: please, no underage slash. I actually see them more as Odd Couple style buddies. If you want to have them interact with Isabeau and Navarre, I'd completely be down for that, but it's certainly not necessary. They leave the church together at the end of the movie, so where do they go? Do they meet again? Maybe they have another adventure or two, or they need to tie up some loose ends with the curse, or maybe Imperius decides Phillipe needs a decent home and a trade and tries to make that happen. Just plain have fun with them... or angst them, whatever fits!
On the whole, I'm fine with anything through a mature rating, though I think I'd prefer not to have anything too extremely sexually graphic, but if you're inclined that way, I don't have a problem with it. I do have a website, though I haven't updated it in a while, at www.herringjousting.com (which for some reason won't show up at the moment) or at my penname of Meltha at either ff.net or AO3 (though that's a very incomplete list) or through the fic tag on this journal. Again, thank you so much for whatever you choose to write, and have a merry Yuletide!
