Yuletide Recs, Part the First

bookishwenchFirst of all, HAPPY YULETIDE! Some of these are from the straight-up Yuletide collection, and some are from treats, but all are things that should be read and savored.
That said, the very first fic I want to rec is the unbeliveably wonderful gift I received.
Look and Listen - by Yahtzee - Rear Window -
The first thing about this fic is that is wonderful is the sheer fact it IS a Rear Window fic. I love Hitchcock, and I always loved this movie in particular because there are just so many things happening in it. This really great fic I got focuses on the characters that Jeff nicknamed Miss Lonelyhearts and the Song Writer, who we know end up together at the end after having their own troubles viewed from him window. But now, they're Evelyn and Ross, looking out their own windows, inhabiting their own worlds, and wondering about their own neighbors. They're full fledged, three dimensional, sympathetic characters in this (who have their own fascination with the Shutterbug and the Socialite), and I adore them. This is a perfect Yuletide gift and a job to read.
Reflection - by DesertVixen - Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon - This is an Eric-centric piece that focuses on his feelings about home and the realm with a cameo featuring Ramoud. Just feels like a missing bit of the show.
A Bit of Caring - by Kijikun - Care Bear Movie - Dark Heart being Dark Heart only now with a heart, which is hard for him to quite comprehend.
With Mortal Hands I'll Build a Castle - by Alianora - Care Bear Move - Another look at Dark Heart's life as a human.
What Love Is - by Eustacia Vye - Dollhouse - Topher talking to Ivy about what makes up love. Simultaneously sweet and creepy as heck.
Rendering - by Vennefic - Dollhouse - In the aftermath of things going to heck, Topher thinks he's helping Adelle. Again, both weirdly sweet and deeply creepy.
The Tattered Fabric of the Universe - by 3pipeproblem - Dollhouse - A full story focusing on Adelle and Topher, and their relationship in the world Topher inadvertantly created.
On the Way - by Spoke - Dark Crystal - A Kira and Aughra friendship fic, because they actually have a lot more in common than first glance suggests.
White as Snow - by Pandora - Snow White - This is a poem, and one that is strangely dream-like in its own way, and it stuck with me for hours after reading it.
Grey Areas - by Bardic Raven - Magnum P.I. - A little hurt/comfort fic with almost-but-not-quite Higgins/Magnum.
Confessing the Little Things - by ladygray99 - M*A*S*H - Father Mulcahey was always a sweet character, and this captures some of the horrible things he had to witness and some of his own loss of innocence.
Reliable - by Mardy - Lady and the Tramp - A Jock and Trusty friendship fic, wonderfully doggy and sweet and possible in canon.
