Bending to peer pressure

So I now have a Delicious account.

I can't figure out what the heck I'm supposed to be doing with it, but I have it. I think I'm supposed to import links. Somehow. In large part I made this choice as my new textbook actually had a page and a half on the importance of Delicious, so I thought if the cranky old textbook writers had gotten to the point where they had accounts and I did not, I was rapidly turning into a freak of nature.

Granted, they also suggested Twitter's hashtags were a great way to garner good links for serious research, which caused me to make a noise that was part gasp, part choking sound, part laugh, and part hiccup, so they may have some issues with perception of reality.

It's somewhat useful if you use two computers, to have the same bookmarks in each, or to mark things to read later. Or if you really, really like cataloging the internet.

I just never remember to bookmark things at all.

..but everyone left Delicious? Well, at least fandom did. I do miss old Delicious though, but I do think Pinboard is a good replacement and WAAAAAAY better customer service (& understanding of fandom).

I'd go over to Pinboard, but once I upon an account there, according to the Laws of Universe, it will cease to be cool. Or awesome. Or wicked. Or whatever the heck those dern whippersnappers call it today.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to tell a bunch of kids to get off my lawn and then confiscate their baseball that landed on my porch. And then watch C-Span while eating Grape Nuts.
